Infantry riffle N°5
"JDV" stamped Rifle:
The ELG * stamp, the lack of GB reception stamp and the brass mountings reminds the n° 5 Rifle manufactured in 1830/31, by the private industry.
As for "JDV", I do not know its meaning.
